Wide Belt with Hunting Scene
Rezan Has Museum continues its efforts with great care to preserve, remember and transfer the values of Anatolian lands, which have hosted many civilizations, to future generations. One of the most important steps of these works, The Urartian jewelry collection, is stunning with its most special piece of art: Wide Belt with Hunting Scene.
This special piece of jewelry artwork belonging to the Urartian civilization, which ruled in Eastern Anatolia for 250 years, took its place in the collection as a result of a great effort and care. There are lion and bull hunting scenes on the belt that have moving figures lined in six rows that starts from the middle section and goes to its end point. Among the figures: lion, bull, mountain goat, mythological creatures, tree of life, infantrymen and hunting carts are in lined.
You can visit this special artifact met with present day after thousands of years of its journey, in the context of “Archaeology of Daily Life” exhibition in Rezan Has Museum, from April.
