“I. Asia Minor History and Epigraphy Symposium” organized for the first time by Rezan Has Museum, provided a conceptual and methodological perception of the history of Asia Minor under the light of the available epigraphic materials dating back to 2.000 BC – 700 AD.

The symposium, which was organized in order to bring the young scientists together, who are making studies in the field of epigraphy, to exchange opinions and to provide the grounds for joint projects, also aims to determine the problems experienced in the field of terminology and methodology encountered in the area of epigraphy and to find solutions for these problems and to form a common language.

In the symposium where the opening speech was given by the famous name of epigraphy Prof. Dr. Bülent İplikçioğlu, there were also titles such as “Confession Epigraphs” and “Hittites Epigraphy and Problems”.
